Description: Here is a nice smoky brown cameo vase of the series "Crible", sub-series "Baguettes" made by the Schneider Company. This is a late example of the Art Deco production of Charles Schneider. It was treated with hydrofluoric acid fumes in order to make the grainy pattern of the vase. A purple amethyst foot was added while the vessel was still hot. This piece is quite elegant in its simplicity.
