Description:
This is a fairly scarce Art Deco satin glass pitcher of the series "Jade"
with great overlay color made by the Schneider company. In addition to being
a pitcher, which makes is somewhat rare, these early satin examples
are quite scarce compared to the later shiny pieces. They also display
surprisingly well under any light, which makes them come to life with such a
strong presence. The colors of this piece are red, orange with blue
highlights by the neck. An applied purple amethyst cascading handle was
attached while hot. This is a most pleasing and vibrant ewer art glass. |
