Description: This is a great and fairly rare Art Deco cameo glass vase
made by the Schneider Company under its Le Verre Francais trade name.
The series is called "Houx" (Holly) and is fairly early in the LVF
production. A vase of the same series and shape/colors is pictured on
page 92 of the Joulin/Maier book on Schneider. Yellow cameo decoration
of the abstract Holly pattern is represented against a vibrant pink
background.
2548 - Schneider
c. 1928-1930
H: 5" x D: 7.75";
Metric system: H: 12.5 cm. x D: 19.5 cm.
Signature: Schneider
Condition: Excellent
Price: $1,350.00
Description: What a wonderful example of late Art Deco production from
the Schneider Company. This clear/frosted/taupe vase stands on an
applied circular taupe foot. It is sandblasted overall with a frieze of
semi circles by top of vase. Quite striking of an example! Photos though
good simply do not reflect its beauty.
2546 - Loetz
c. 1890's
H: 4.25" x D: 5";
Metric system: H: 10.5 cm. x D: 12.5 cm.
Signature: Unsigned as usual
Condition: Excellent
Price: $295.00
Description: Here is a good Art
Nouveau Marmorierte Carneol vase made by the Loetz Company of Austria
with abstract gold and white enamel gilding. The Marmorierte series was
made to look like marble with its veins throughout main body of stone.
The gold and white enamel gilding is in extremely good condition for the
age of the vase (see last picture). A small but very cute piece with
good craftsmanship.
2542 - Schneider
c. 1930-1932
H: 8.5" x D: 6";
Metric system: H: 21.5 cm. x D: 15 cm.
Signature: Schneider, France
Condition: Excellent
Price: $950.00
Description: This is a good example of a late production press molded
glass vase made by the Schneider Company. The same shape but in
different colors is pictured on page 334 of the Maier/Joulin book on
Schneider. This vase reminds one of the Ruba Rombic series produced by
the Consolidated glass Company of the US. It should not disappoint the
Art Deco or Schneider collector as it is simply splendid and very well
made. The piece is brown at bottom of vase gradually turning to frosted
and clear by 1/3 up the vase.
