Description: This is a somewhat scarce Art Deco purple amethyst large "Coupe a Pied Noir" of the series "A Cote" (with ribs). Pink enamels are encased in between two layers of clear glass on the main body of the coupe. It was then treated with acid fumes to create ribs and rough texture alternately. The coupe was finished with an application of a purple amethyst foot and stem. Would make quite a statement on a glass table and would be at home in any modern house.

Description: Here is a great little piece of art glass made by the Schneider Company. It is from the series "Cordees" and they were made in 3 different colors, yellow being the more common, then pink and blue being the rarest of the colors. A layer of sky blue enamels is ensnared in between two very thick layers of clear glass. Thick ribbons of clear glass were then applied to vessel while it was still hot. A small piece but very beautiful and expertly done. Extremely contemporary!
