What a treat for the eyes! In all of our years as
antiques dealers we have never encountered a pick holder complete with
the little hanging birds. There are 10 picks: 2 rooster's heads, 1
rooster, 1 bird's head, 2 toucan, 4 other kind of birds (all different).
The small glass hangers are: 1 pair of swans, 2 pair of other different
birds. Simply a marvelous treat and a wonder they are still intact after
so many years.

Description:
Here is a nice smoky brown cameo vase of the series "Crible",
sub-series "Baguettes" made by the Schneider Company. This is a late
example of the Art Deco production of Charles Schneider. It was treated
with hydrofluoric acid fumes in order to make the grainy pattern of the
vase. A purple amethyst foot was added while the vessel was still hot.
This piece is quite elegant in its simplicity.

771 - Degue
c. 1925-1930
H: 18" x
D: 10"; Metric system: H:
46cm. x
D: 25.25cm. Signature:
Degue, France
Condition:
Excellent
Price: $6,100.00
Description:
This is a
delightful monumental footed cameo vase made by the Degue Company.
Pieces this size do not come by very often by this maker. What is also
more unusual than most Degue is that they realized an abstract
decoration
which does not come by very often compared to the flowery kind. This
vase is pink in its intercalary colors, while the cameo parts and foot
are white. This is exquisite work, photos simply do not do it justice!

This is a pleasant
