Deco Society of Washington, DC
Since its founding in the Fall of 1982, the Art Deco Society of
Washington has led the effort to save from the wrecker's ball many important Washington
area examples of Art Deco architecture. Also sponsors an Art Deco antique sales show every
years. I encourage you to participate in this very worthwhile efforts.
National American Glass
Club
The National American Glass Club, Ltd., is an international
organization for those interested in the study and appreciation of glass, regardless of
type, period or origin. The NAGC was founded in Boston, Massachusetts in 1933.

Museums:
The Kunst Palast Museum of Düsseldorf
This museum has
one of the more developed collection of Schneider art glass in the world,
among museums. Their collection is simply splendid and they pride themselves
in doing research on their object. They also mounted an exhibition of
Charles Schneider art glass in 1981. An overview of their collection, among
which one Schneider art glass piece can be viewed

The Minneapolis Institute of Arts
The Minneapolis Institute of
Arts houses more than 100,000 objects from diverse cultural traditions
spanning 5,000 years of world history.
Recent gifts included the remarkable
Norwest Modernism Collection which was comprised of a
Schneider piece or two like the one seen
here.
The Museum of Fine Arts Boston
Their
collection includes American art, European art, ancient art, Asian, African
and Oceanic art, contemporary art, prints, drawings, photographs, musical
instruments, and textile and fashion arts. They also have
a collection of Charles Schneider art glass but unfortunately do not have
any on display.
The Chrysler Museum of Art
A comprehensive and world-renowned glass
collection is permanently on view in an open-storage fashion arranged chronologically,
culminating in a glorious "Tiffany gallery". A partial viewing of its

The Corning Museum of Glass
The Corning Museum of Glass houses the world's greatest glass
collection and the library of record for the history, art, and early technology of
glassmaking. The glass collection contains more than 33,000 objects representing every
country and historical period in which glassmaking has been practiced.
The Columbia Museum of Art
It has a dedicated section on Art Glass from the art Nouveau
era. Its collection of Decorative Arts from Europe and USA for this period is also well
